Day 1: Dinner at Wasabi / Cascades in Opryland Hotel

Fortunately I had my favorite keto collagen bars in my room, so I had one of these for breakfast earlier than I headed to the conference.
Opryland Hotel is HUGE, and our event alone had over 4,000 attendees. I didn’t manage to get lunch through the break. The strains have been long and there was just no solution to make it happen in time – or I didn’t handle to at the least.

Scratch that – I was WIPED OUT, ugh.
After not having a meal on Wednesday, I was DETERMINED to get some strong food in me the subsequent day.
I made the trek over to the Cascades from the Delta section.

I ordered 3 eggs (cracked eggs please, no milk) scrambled with cheddar cheese, bacon and strawberries & blueberries.
TIP: If you don’t ask for cracked eggs at Cascades Cafe, they use bagged liquid eggs.
Determined NOT to miss that meal, given I hadn’t had a meal the day before, I skipped my shower and threw on my walking footwear (it was A LOT of strolling lol) to try to get breakfast AND get to the occasion on time that day.
I figured I’d eat a BIG breakfast, then get my bathe in the course of the lunch break – since lunch was practically inconceivable anyway. 😉
I needed to get it to go to make it back on time.
Did I mention it’s an extended stroll? 🙂
I nonetheless did not get a seat – once more. 😛

That night time we had a catered event. What day am I on now? Ah, Thursday – Day 3. It was a working dinner, and the buffet was… Rice Bowls.
I managed to seek out some great things I might eat though: shredded hen, roasted mushrooms (plucked out of the sweet potato tray), almonds, feta cheese and guacamole.
Old Hickory Steakhouse inside Opryland Hotel
This is a flowery steakhouse, reservations only.
It’s one of those places where they serve “shared sides” (principally carbs I wouldn’t eat) so I just ordered the scallops off the appetizer menu.
I received three. 🤔🤣
They have been cooked/served in some fancy (sugary) cranberry sauce so I requested mine cooked in butter only. They have been okay, very sandy however okay.
(fact: not beneficial)
Remember my berries from breakfast on Day 3? I acquired full on the bacon and eggs so I put these in the fridge in my room and had them for lunch on Day 4 (Friday).
I had lunch in my room and I paired them with a Cinnamon Roll Perfect Keto Collagen Bar. 😍 Delicious combo!!
For dinner, I took myself out. 🙂
Back across the lodge to the Cascades Cafe!
I ordered the cheeseburger (no bun please) with steamed green beans as an alternative of fries, some of that delicious arugula on the aspect – and a creamy mustard sauce (it’s just mustard and heavy cream – I asked).
That was a wonderful meal. 🙂
I didn’t get to finish it although, which is an extended story I don’t feel like moving into right now. With all the walking and very few meals, I was FAMISHED by (I overlook what day we’re on)… ah, Saturday morning.
I made the stroll again over to the Cascades vibrant and early for his or her breakfast buffet.
I obtained an omelet cooked to order (two cracked eggs, no milk, cheddar & spinach), and obtained bacon and sausage off the buffet – plus strawberries, blackberries and blueberries.
The berries have been SO recent and SO flavorful, and…
The omelet was DELICIOUS!
And sure, I ate ALL THREE PLATES OF FOOD. 😅
Except about half the berries, and my server was type sufficient to deliver me a cup to take these to go. I hated to see them thrown out, and I knew I’d eat them.
She even informed me to go get a number of extra and refill my cup on the best way out. 😉
At this level within the trip I’d been caught in “the disneyworld of nashville” (ie Opryland Hotel) around 4 full days, and NONE of it was going nicely – at all.
I stated I was going to go away out the commentary. 🤐 lol…
I simply stored dusting myself off and throwing my smile again on – and diving proper again into all of it. I had locations to be, things to do, a convention to attend of course, a gathering that afternoon, work I still had to get completed on the go, yada yada yada.
I did that until I just couldn’t anymore…
Then I packed up my stuff, threw on my jacket and LEFT.
This trip was a fail from the get go.
It was SO dangerous it’s virtually comical (virtually). Someday I’ll look again and giggle hysterically at simply what a trainwreck it was start to finish. (someday – NOT at present).
At this point I hadn’t eaten since breakfast, but the concept of staying inside that lodge ONE MORE MINUTE made me completely batty, and I didn’t much really feel like going anyplace else either.
Not anyplace with individuals, or with any extra dangerous experiences – period.
So I sat in my automotive within the parking zone and pulled that cup of berries out of my bag, together with my final Cinnamon Roll keto bar, and referred to as that dinner earlier than I drove house.

Those are my GO TO for a quick, convenient keto meal alternative as you noticed. They’re made with great components they usually maintain me glad better than different bars. Plus they’re scrumptious with berries. 😋
The new Birthday Cake bar (under) and the Cinnamon Roll taste are both softer and creamier. Those are two of my favorites. Almond Butter Brownie and Lemon Poppyseed are the other two I really like, so these are my prime 4 picks with their bars.
I exploit their unflavored collagen powder every day too, so getting one free is a GREAT deal. I simply stocked up – again. 🙂
p.p.s. Opryland Hotel in Nashville TN is a fantastic place. I’m from Tennessee so I’ve been there quite a number of occasions and I’ve all the time liked it. Just not THIS time.
But the food was delicious. 🙂 Except the scallops and rice bowl bar thingy. The rest of it was fabulous though. The Cascades Cafe is certainly where you need to eat for those who’re ever there.
